CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR 2018-2019 WINTER SEASON


All membership meetings except for the December and March meetings will be held at the Inlet Town Hall at 7pm.

Dates for additional events will appear in the October newsletter once confirmed.


Saturday, August 25, 2018: Family Picnic. The club’s annual Family Picnic will be held at 1pm at the home of George Lapinski, 273 Big Moose Road in Eagle Bay. The cost will be $5 per member and $10 for a non-member, to be paid upon arrival at the picnic. RSVP date for the picnic is August 21. Please call George at 315-357-4278. Bring a dish to pass. The club will provide meats and non-alcoholic beverages.

Thursday, December 6, 2018: Volunteers are requested for Snodeo set-up starting at 10am. Our club gets a complimentary booth in exchange for help from our members.

Tuesday, December 11, 2018: Christmas Party & Sled Raffle Drawing. The Club's annual Christmas Party will be held at the Ole Barn on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.  There will be a brief business meeting at 5:30 pm, followed by hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at 6:00 pm, and then dinner will be served at 7:00 pm.  Your choice of entree is:  Prime Rib with a Baked Potato, Fresh Salmon with mango glaze and mango salsa served on the side with a Baked Potato, or Chicken Parmesan on pasta.  Following dinner, the raffle drawing for the snowmobile and other prizes will be held.  And then the gift exchange will be held.  If you wish to participate in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped, unisex gift valued at $15.  The cost for the dinner is $15 per club member or $35 for a non-member.  Reservations and entree choices must be received by Bill Gasperino no later than December 1st.  Please mail a check payable to the Inlet Barnstormers and mail c/o Bill Gasperino, PO 1042, Old Forge, NY 13420.

Tuesday, January 22, 2019: Regular Monthly Meeting

 

Friday & Saturday, January 25 & 26, 2019: 20th Annual Poker Run. Come join us for our annual Poker Run on Friday, January 25 and Saturday January 26, 2019. It’s fun. Get your buddies and go for it! The purse is $700 and there is over 70 door prizes and last year’s 50/50 was $400. Pick up your playing card at any one of the 25 sponsors . Get your card stamped from as many sponsors as possible. Go to Daikers restaurant by 5:15 pm on Saturday January 26, 2019. Your one card can purchase up to ten hands for $10 per hand (no need for 2 cards, only one card will be accepted per player). Winner must be present to win. No new card hand will be dealt after 7:30 pm.  You are dealt as many cards as you have stamps on your card. You need at least 5 different stamps as the poker game is five-card stud. Come join the fun and ride safe.

 

Tuesday & Wednesday, February 5 & 6, 2019: Overnight ride to the Beeches Resort in Rome. The annual Inlet Barnstormers Club overnight trip will be held this season on Tuesday & Wednesday, February 5 & 6, 2019. We will leave from the groomer barn on North Street in Old Forge at 9AM on Tuesday and ride to the Beeches Resort in Rome. We will get to the Beeches mid-afternoon after stopping for lunch on the way. There will be a cocktail party at 4:30pm in the breakfast dining room. Bring your own adult drinks. You can make a reservation by calling the Beeches at 315-336-1775 and ask for a room with the Barnstormers. The rates are $89.95 and $99.95 per night with a full American breakfast included. We will be having dinner as a group at 7pm at the Beeches. You can also drive down by car and meet us there for all the fun. If you plan on riding your sled, please call Bob Gates at 315-527-0760 so he will know who to expect on the ride. We will have vehicles to take your luggage if you wish. Any other questions, give Bob a call. If we are not able to ride the sleds due to trail conditions, we will all be driving our cars to enjoy the fun. Snow or no snow we will still go. Wednesday, February 13, 2019: Billy’s Charity Dinner. Billy generously donates 20% of all dinner checks and take-out orders back to our club. Call the restaurant (315-369-2001) to make your dinner reservations at the Barnstormers reserved tables in his cozy dining room and bolster our club’s revenue for grooming. Please be sure to “THANK” Billy Burns for his support! Hope to see many of you there. Members and Non-Members are welcome!

April 26-28, 2019: 2019 SLEDNY Forum & NYSSA Annual Meeting to be held in Niagara Falls, NY. Our club sends representative delegates to this conference to attend seminars and interact with the over 230 clubs across the state.
